There are many things about pregnancy that are not discussed in our culture. While there is a lot more sharing going on now and you hear a lot more about the previously untalked about pregnancy “myths” and not so pretty things like how most women poop when they deliver or how morning sickness can actually last all day, there are still many things about pregnancy that aren’t talked about.
Here’s a few I’ve noticed never really get discussed and even if brought up among women who are or have been pregnant can hush a room:
- Sneezing might make you pee a little
- Vomiting later in pregnancy might make you pee a little (or a lot…when I had a stomach virus a few months ago I peed so much while heaving into the toilet hubby thought my water broke)
- Rushing to the car in a rainstorm might make you pee a little
- Carrying something that’s probably too heavy might make you pee a little
- Laughing too hard might make you pee a little
- Rolling over onto your right side at night (depending on how baby is laying) might make you pee a little
- Towards the end, baby changing position or stretching out might make you pee a little
- Pooping might make you pee a little
See a pattern? My advice: invest in some good panty liners and empty your bladder as often as you can, you never know when a sneeze might sneak up on you and remind you that you haven’t peed lately!
