You know you’re a mom of a newborn when:
- Your shirt is almost always wet from spit up, leaky boobs or explosive diapers (or a combination of the three)
- Three hours of uninterrupted sleep is considered a good rest
- Any meal where you don’t have to breastfeed, hold baby or listen to baby cry is a good meal
- One bicep is bigger than the other from lugging baby around in the car seat
- You do laundry at least every other day
- Taking a long, interrupted shower is just a dream
- You frequently leave the house without even thinking about looking in the mirror
- Exposing yourself to breastfeed everywhere and anywhere is no big deal
- Every task you set out to complete gets interrupted at least once
- You become a pro at doing everything one handed while you hold baby in the other
- Running errands requires more preparation and luggage than a week long beach vacation used to
- Your bed is used more often for feeding and diaper changing than sleeping
- You don’t even THINK about using your bed for anything other than sleeping, feeding and diaper changing
- Pee and poop become a part of normal dinner time conversation
- Despite being more tired than you’ve ever been in your life, you stay awake staring in awe at baby while s/he sleeps
- No matter how tired, sore, frustrated or overwhelmed you get, you still love that tiny little being more than you ever thought would be possible.
