To celebrate President’s Day, here are Hoeybun’s thoughts on the presidents:
Abraham Lincoln:
He was a very nice president.
He used to say “Four score and seven years ago…”
He had a tall hat.
He carried mail in his top hat.
We’re going to celebrate him.
Washington:
He had curly hair.
He was very nice.
He used to be alive.
He was the third president.
Bronco Bama:
I think he’s still alive.
He was very very very nice.
He wanted everybody to get along (oh, no, wait…that was Martin Luther King, Jr.)
We are celebrating him.
Obvioulsy, she still has a lot to learn about America’s Presidential history, but I’m proud of what she already knows for ony being 5! (These were her exact words, but we did correct her misunderstandings as we went along!)
She also wanted to try to spell the names of other presidents she didn’t know about:
