Things that are actually easier to do while breastfeeding:
Clip baby’s nails: I seriously don’t know how I would achieve this feat if I didn’t have both of my hands and his hands and him occupied all at the same time!
Check email, Facebook, blog etc.: at least when I’m nursing I can say I HAVE to sit down for a minute and I can connect to the world outside my chaotic home of children for at least a few minutes
Shopping (sometimes): nothing settles a fussy baby better than a good boob and I’ve mastered the no-hands breastfeeding sling hold so shopping is a breeze!
Shut Down and relax: My girls know that when I’m feeding that baby, that’s all I’m going to do baring a catastrophe (don’t worry, my children aren’t neglected while I nurse all day, Doodle has never nursed longer than 10 minutes at a time, usually closer to 5…I deserve those 5 minutes to do whatever I darn well please!)
Talking on the phone (or face to face): I can’t tell you how many times important phone calls have been interrupted by an angry baby (no matter how careful I am to plan them when kids are sleeping or I have help). “Mommy can’t hear, have a boob!”
