After trying the Banana Empanadas at Tijuana Flats last week, Honeybun has been talking about their deliciousness non-stop! If you don’t have a local Tijuana Flats to go get your own, here’s a quick, easy and super simple recipe to make your own at home!
1. Sprinkle a flour tortilla with cinnamon sugar
2. Roll a banana into the tortilla folding in the ends
3. Melt some butter in a pan and stir in some cinnamon sugar.
4. Brown the empanada on all sides in the butter (the longer you let it brown, the softer the banana will get).
5. Sprinkle with more cinnamon sugar and voila! Easy, homemade, delicious (and kind of nutritious) Banana Empanada.
