With the Frozen mania in my home, it’s no surprise that my girls have become rather obsessed with Elsa, and her magic. Honeybun started asking me if real people have magic and I always answer “I have magic” to which she usually giggles and says something like “no you don’t!” or “show me then!”
And while she may be skeptical, I know the truth: This mommy is magic! (All mommies are.)
My womb is magic because it can create, grow and support an ENTIRE life from one single cell until birth without any help or instruction manual needed.
My breasts are magic because they can provide everything my baby needs for the first 6 months of life and beyond to grow and develop without supplements or support. (And my milk is magic because it is perfect for my baby every time, no mixing, measuring, warming, sterilizing or waiting, it’s the only true “ready to feed,” anytime, anywhere.)
My arms are magic because they can carry a tired baby, keep my kids safe from harm and my hugs are magic because they can comfort a sick or scared child and wrap her in love and warmth when they need it most.
My kisses are magic because they can heal any boo-boo and my tickles are magic because they can turn a frown upside down.
My love is magic because it is ever changing but never wavering and never ending, no matter what.
This is such a wonderful reminder of why I do everything I do for my daughter. :) Having that much power is terrifying, but still so amazing!
I totally agree, what we mommies are able to do is truly remarkable!
I absolutely love this post. We are full of magic! Thanks for the reminder.
Thanks, Camesha!
