Near my in-laws’ house in Central Massachusetts is a local candle company (similar to Yankee and not too far from their headquarters) which also has a nice little restaurant where they cook with fresh grown local ingredients. A few years back, we wandered in for lunch after perusing the store and this special holiday hot cider drink was on the menu and we were hooked! I’ve been making it at home and the best part is how easy it is to make and how delicious it is with so few ingredients.
For 1 drink:
- 1 ounce Spiced Rum
- 6 ounces Unfiltered Apple Cider, heated
- A dollop of Vanilla-infused Whipped Cream
- Cinnamon or Nutmeg
Pour rum and cider into mug and top with a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg.
