It’s like Christmas came early in our house. All our Black Friday shopping was not actually for Christmas, but stuff we needed now.
Honeybun got a new bike. We’ve been looking for a good deal for months since she’s outgrown hers and Sugarplum was ready for a “real” bike but I didn’t want to make it a present since both of their current bikes were presents (it’s like gifting socks, I don’t want to always make thigns they need a present).
We also picked up a new scooter for Sugarplum a few weeks ago at a great price that we have been holding on to until we got Honeybun’s bike. They’ve been fighting over a single two-wheeled scooter (our other one has three wheels and they don’t like it). She was definitely surprised to get a new scooter she wasn’t expecting.
And the beat part is hubby and I finally got a new bed. We’ve been using the same mattress since we moved to Oklahoma 9 1/2 years ago and it was not suiting us any more. It had contoured to our bodies but not in a good way. We both spent all night tossing and turning, my knees popping constantly (which doesn’t happen when we travel). We also upgraded to a king size from a queen which gives us all the room we need for a good night’s sleep!
