66 weeks I go, I embarked on a journey. I started my Traveling Tuesday series with a look at our first trip in Europe: Paris. I then spent each week after that detailing another place we’ve visited with our family, offering bits of advice for planning travel and traveling with kids along the way. My last post chronicling our travels was almost exactly a year after I started, that makes somewhere around 50 places we’ve been with our kids (the full list can be found here).
Since that time, I’ve been continuing to offer advice and tips for travel with kids but since returning to Florida two and a half years ago and becoming ex-ex-pats, we’ve also become ex-world-travelers and while we still love traveling and seeing new places, our current lives just don’t allow for new adventures like we experienced while overseas. (For comparison: we visited 27 different countries during our two and a half years living abroad. Since returning to Florida, we’ve only visited 7 states, many of which we’ve been to a hundred times before!)
And while travel is still a very important part of our lives and I hope to continue traveling and to pick up the pace on seeing new places, for now the traveling well has run dry. And though I still have plenty of wisdom to share, taking it on a weekly has become a challenge.
So for now, I am ending my weekly Traveling Tuesday series. But that doesn’t mean I’m done writing about travel! I will continue to share our travel experiences and advice as it comes to me, it just won’t be on a regular schedule.
And in the place of Traveling Tuesdays, I have some great new weekly offerings that I am passionate about and I think you all will enjoy!
You can find all my tips, experience and advice for travel under the “Tiny Travelers” category.
