There is sooooo much to do when expecting a baby! It’s easy to get overwhelmed by everything that needs to get done before baby’s arrival so here are my suggestions for keeping the stress under control with one thing to do each month of pregnancy:
st Month (0-4 weeks): Start taking pre-natal vitamins.
nd Month (5-8 weeks): Tell your partner you’re expecting.
rd Month (9-12 weeks): Tell your family and close friends you’re expecting.
th Month (13-16 weeks): Start planning for life changes like taking leave from work, moving house, creating a support system, etc. as necessary.
th Month (17-20 weeks): Start putting together your baby registry if your first baby or taking inventory of your baby haves/needs if not.
th Month (21-24 weeks): Take a trip or staycation while you feel generally well and before baby preparations take over.
th Month (25-28 weeks): Start setting up the nursery, buy needed furniture, decorate if you wish and put together the crib/cot.
th Month (29-32 weeks): Wash all the baby clothes, blankets, sheets, etc., organize and put them away (arrange clothes by size for now and later).
th Month (33-36 weeks): Arrange care for siblings/pets for during the birth.
th Month (36 weeks to birth): Install the car seat, relax and wait for baby!
