Shrimp pasta salad has been a family favorite my whole life. My mommy has been making it homemade as long as I can remember and now I make it for my little shrimp lovers, too!
Recipe for Shrimp Pasta Salad
- 12 oz. Shell or Rotini Pasta
- 1 cup frozen small Shrimp (or 2 5 oz. cans)
- 1 medium Onion, chopped
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup Sweet Relish
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- Cook pasta until al dente and drain. If using frozen shrimp, add in when draining hot pasta.
- Let pasta cool.
- Mix together all ingredients.
- Chill before serving.
This can be made a day ahead but you may need to add additional mayonnaise the next day for creaminess as the pasta sometimes continues sucking up the liquid as it cools.
