While sunny South Florida may not be the most festive place during the holiday season, it doesn’t mean our area is void of great holiday events for the entire family to enjoy. South Florida Parenting magazine has a great calendar chock-full of exciting South Florida holiday events for every holiday, every family, every day!
Here are just a few of the many South Florida Holiday Events I’m looking forward to attending with my family this month and next:
South Florida Parenting’s Holiday Festival:
November 21-22 from 11 am to 5 pm at Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek
This family fun event will feature a snow tubing hill, candy cane scavenger hunt, and arts and crafts. Admission is $8 per person (parking and admission to the park is included and babies under 18 months are free) but if you become a South Florida Parenting VIP (very important parent) by November 15, you’ll receive a $2 off coupon via e-mail. Tropical Holiday:
November 14 from 11 am to 2 pm at the Shoppes at Logger’s Run in Boca Raton, FL
We’ll be missing this event as we gear up for more snow in Colorado but this fun, free event will feature the opportunity to meet Tropical Santa, go on a train ride, get your faces painted and more!
Hip Hop Celebration:
November 28 from 1 to 3 pm at Southland Mall in Cutler Bay
The free event will feature the Hip Hop Kidz dance group as well as a dance competition, crafts, games and prizes.
Breakfast with Santa:
December 5 from 8:30 to 10:30 am at the Palm Beach Outlets in West Palm Beach
Enjoy a free breakfast followed by meeting Santa, cookie decorating, and holiday ornament making.
Other fun ongoing events:
Bass Pro Shops Santa’s Wonderland in Dania Beach and Miami (this was the first place my kids ever met Santa, 3 years ago!)
Celebrate the Holidays with the Peanuts Gang at the Dolphin Mall
Holiday Fantasy of Lights drive-through light show in Coconut Creek (we traditionally do this on New Year’s Eve)
Hoffman’s Chocolates Annual Winter Wonderland in Greenacres
Winter Wonderland at the Dolphin Mall
The Polar Express Train Rides at the Gold Coast Railroad Museum
