One of the things that has always left me in wonder about babies is the idea that everything they see and do is new. They are constantly having firsts, seeing things for the first time, doing things for the first time.
Our trip back to Colorado to visit my family, which wraps up today, has been a HUGE list of firsts for our tiniest little family member:
- First time on an airplane.
- First time out of Florida.
- First time to Colorado.
- First time wearing shoes.
- First time meeting his only “official” Aunt (and soon to be Uncle and myriad of other family members and friends).
- First time in the cold (he is not a fan, by the way!)
- First time attending a dance concert.
- First time going to brunch (a big tradition in my family).
- First time in the snow
- First time getting love attacked by a little girl (other than his sisters)
- First time wearing his Broncos gear (and seeing our team lose)
- First time getting dressed up
- First time wearing a hat for an extended time
- First time dressing like a lumberjack (in his “dress” clothes and hat)
