About a year ago, there was a “ask your kids these questions” post going around Facebook. I asked my three oldest kids the questions and got some really funny answers. It’s interested to look back and see not only what my kids thought a year ago but also to be reminded of how far Doodle has come with his speech over the past year. (Read last year’s post.)
I was really excited to see it circulating again so I again asked all my bigger kids the questions (Pipsqueak still has a very limited vocabulary but I’m sure he’ll be ready to join in next year!) Some questions are the same and some are different but it is a great way to see what they are thinking and how they’re viewing and feeling in the world. 
Answers from Sugarplum, 6 1/2 years old:
What is something I say a lot? “Do your school!”
What makes me happy? when I do my school
How tall am I? reaaaally tall
How old am I? 33?
What’s my favorite color? purple
What is my favorite thing to do? talk to mommies
What makes me proud of you? when I do good gymnastics
What is my favorite food? chicken
Do you think you could live without me? ummmm…<shakes head no.>
If I could go anywhere, where would it be? vacation
What is my favorite tv show? Dancing with the Stars
What do I love? me, me, me!
Answers from Honeybun, 8 1/2 years old:
What is something I say a lot? “Do your school!”
What makes me happy? when we follow directions
How tall am I? about as tall as the refrigerator
How old am I? thirty…two?
What’s my favorite color? purple
What is my favorite thing to do? have fun
What makes me proud of you? when we learn something new
What is my favorite food? pasta?
