Caretaker to 10 kids says:
I can think of two challenging things about taking young children out. The first is getting everything ready and getting the kids in the car to go. It takes forever to buckle them in and make sure everyone is secured and we had everything we need. The second most challenging is changing diapers while out. From what we’ve found almost 45% of the places we went did not have a diaper changing area or if they did it was broken or damaged so we couldn’t use it. It is extremely challenging to change a baby while trying to figure out what you could use so the child doesn’t touch the bathroom floor. A lot of times if there wasn’t one I would go out to the car and change the child in there on one of the seats because it was easier. The best advice I could give would make sure you have extra diapers, formula, and change of clothes for the child and you. Don’t be afraid to go. You need this outing as much as the baby does.
