2nd time mommy of 7 month old girl says:
My first pregnancy was wonderful, but it was in a different country. I wasn’t afraid of labor and the birth experience was jarring, but my doctor was amazing and I was able to deliver ‘naturally’ but with drugs. My second was stressful. I was pregnant and had my 2nd in the US. It was invasive and I felt that I had no say in what happened. I had 18 hours of induced labor only to have an ’emergency’ c-section because my daughter wasn’t budging. She was sunny-side-up. Due to the consequences of the c-section (blood loss, transfusion, difficult recovery), I am balking at the idea of having a 3rd baby in the US. I would change pretty much everything about my 2nd pregnancy, from the beginning to the end.
