Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can tomato paste
- 3 tablespoons molasses (I use blackstrap for more flavor and an iron boost)
- ¼ cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Dash of mustard powder
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Hamburger buns or rolls
- Butter
Preparation:
1) Heat the oil in a large skillet and brown the meat
2) Add the onion and pepper, cook until soft
3) Butter hamburger buns/rolls and toast or grill
4) Add remaining ingredients and simmer until sauce thickens
5) Pile meat mixture on top of bun/roll
